Minister of Home Affairs ,Tito Karnavian, visits Jayapura City, Papua, on Thursday (9/7/2020) night.

Tito plans to attend the coordination meeting of the regional elections at 2020, Friday (10/7/2020) tomorrow, to hear the exposure of the chairman of KPU Papua, Election Supervisory Board and The Governor of Papua in relation to the election of regional head of 2020 in 11 districts.

"The plane that was laid by Mr. Minister arrived tonight and he would rest at Swissbel Hotel Jayapura".

"He visited to check the readiness of 2020 elections in Papua," explained the head of the Department of Communication and Informatics of Papua, Jery A. Yudianto, Thursday.

In addition to attending the coordination meeting of the regional elections simultaneously, the Minister of Home Affairs on the same day will give direction to the Task Force Covid-19 Papua province.

While during the event, there will be a submission of 500 cut masks from the Minister of Home Affairs to the Governor of Papua.

"After that, the next day he did not hold a ceremony with Papua Provincial Government and the Regency and City".

"There may only be an internal event with the Papua police chief in the afternoon and he will return to Jakarta on Sunday (12/7/2020) morning," he said.

Nevertheless, Jery added, the schedule of the event of the Minister of Home Affairs as state officials can change at any time. Only, the main agenda to Papua is to check the readiness of the 2020 simultaneous elections.
