The Great Committee for the National Sports Week of Papua Give Positive Response About the Extension of Media Registration.

The daily chairman of The Great Committee for the National Sports Week of Papua, Yunus Wonda gives a good response to the Indonesia National Sports Committee province which recently proposed an extension of the media registration.

It is as input to a number of KONI provinces in 'Virtual Meeting' held by the field of Media and publication of Indonesia National Sports Committee Central and directly guided by the vice chairman of the Media and public relation Center, Ayu Dyah Pasha, Wednesday (July 15, 2020).

The Indonesia National Sports Committee Province feels difficulties with the requirements of reporters for the National Sports week who must attach a Journalist Competency Test or Journalist Competency Test. Considering that not all coverage reporters included in the Indonesia National Sports Committee Provincial contingent have not yet had the test.

Nevertheless, the certainty of renewal will still be discussed and decided together in a virtual meeting between the Indonesia National Sports Committee Center, the Indonesia National Sports Committee Province Indonesia, Indonesia Journalist Association Center and the press board in Jakarta early next month.

"Related to the request The Indonesia National Sports Committee province that proposes an extension of the time of registration, I think it does not matter. Because this registration is not something urgent ".

" The National Sports Week in Papua is held in 2021 so that we have been given space to the entire media to register by qualifying the existing. Only later do we decide on a meeting in the Office of Indonesia National Sports Committee Central, "explained Jonah, Wednesday (July 22, 2020), in Jayapura.

According to him, The Great Committee of the National Sports Week in Papua agreed when the requirement in the registration of the National Sports Week -based media is made as simple as possible. Only when the registration time is extended, the entire media must follow the stipulated requirements.

Because it's useless if extended for months but the conditions are not followed. Because this requirement is also a standard that is usually set on events such as this to ensure that the press that comes to cover is credible and competent.

On the occasion, Yunus  also reminded Papuan local media to meet the standard requirements. Despite the extension discourse, he also expects local media to register immediately.

"Because when it is closed it will not reopen for any reason. Do not feel my local media should be prioritized, no it is not. All keep up with the standards given. Because if the registration is closed then we do not open the room anymore, "he concluded.
