Papua Governor Lukas Enembe is scheduled to appoint eight Interim Officials (Pjs) Regents whose regions hold simultaneous elections.

This was conveyed by Acting Secretary of Papua Ridwan Rumasukun in Jayapura, Thursday (9/24/2020) evening.

"Tomorrow there is the inauguration of Interim Officials for all regions that hold simultaneous elections except, Supiori Regency, Merauke, Nabire and Mamberamo Raya. Then there are eight Interim Officials Regents appointed," he explained.

In addition to Interim Officials regent, he also appointed the new Acting Secretary of Papua, Doren Wakerkwa who was previously assistant in government. 

The replacement of the Regional Acting Secretary of Papua concerns the appointment of himself as one of the Interim Officials Regents.

"However, which regency I was appointed to, it will be known tonight after the decree is received. So, the appointment of Assistant Doren Wakerkwa as the Papua Regional Secretary will be up until his definitive appointment," he explained.

In addition, there are also Echelon II officials who will be appointed to fill the vacancy. "But the details are at the inauguration tomorrow. Because there is also the inauguration of the head of the BPKP Papua, he has already been inaugurated in Jakarta and only needs to be confirmed here ".

 “There will also be an inauguration of the Deputy Regent, Boven Digoel, to become a Regent then he will immediately take a leave of absence because he is participating in the Regional Head Election process,” he said.
