PB PON Papua is preparing a scenario of strict implementation of health protocols, to prevent Covid new clusters, during the inauguration of the venue and the renaming of Papua Bangkit Stadium to Lukas Enembe, 20 October 2020.

"Considering that Jayapura City and Regency are still in the "red zone" with the high transmission of Covid, we will strictly implement health protocols."

"But the technicalities will still be discussed together in related fields," explained General Secretary of PON Papua Elia Loupatty, Tuesday (09/29/2020), in Jayapura.

While internally, he continued, the committee of PON Papua has agreed to conduct rapid tests for all committees involved. Exploring to carry out rapid mass tests for invited parties who will attend the inauguration activity.

"We want to avoid the new cluster. And because this is also the government's job, so it has to implement health protocols strictly".

Papua Bangkit Stadium located in Kampung Harapan, Jayapura Regency, was confirmed to be renamed on October 20, 2020 coinciding with the inauguration of all venues of National Sports Week (PON) XX 2021.

The new name of Bumi Cenderawasih pride stadium is Lukas Enembe who currently serves as Governor of Papua Province.

Lukas Enembe as the name of the stadium is an award and respect for the leader of Papua in two periods, for his success in delivering Papua Province as the host of PON XX 2021.

In that activity, the Governor will inaugurate the usage of all PON venues that have been completed 100 percent done.
