Human Resources Development Agency of Papua Holds Scholarship Management Training
The Provincial Government of Papua through the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Papua Province in collaboration with the Ministry of National Development Planning / National Development Planning Agency, the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Thursday morning (4/3/2021) held a Scholarship Management Training for Civil Servants , held at Morissey Hotel, Jakarta.
Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, SIP. MH represented by the Head of Human Resources Development Agency of Papua Province, Aryoko A.F Rumaropen, SP, M.Eng when opening the training suggested that this training is reserved for Civil Servants who handle affirmation education scholarships for students of the Papuan indigenous peoples.
"This training is specifically for civil servants who specialize in handling affirmation scholarships for indigenous Papuans and held for two days on March 4-5, 2021," said Rumaropen.
Rumaropen said that the purpose of the training is in addition to improving the capacity and competence of apparatus resources, as well as optimizing better scholarship management services in the Papua Provincial Government, especially in the Human Resources Development Agency.
"This management training is for optimization of services and better scholarship management in the Human Resources Development Agency of Papua Province," he explained.
A total of 6 resource persons brought materials in this training, including the Head of the Center for Education Development and Training Planners, the Ministry of National Development Planning / National Development Planning Agency, Director of Resources at the Directorate General of Higher Education Ministry of Education and President Director of the Institute for Education Fund Management (LPDP), Ministry of Finance.
While the other three speakers came from three international education institutions, namely Manager of Australia Award Indonesia, Manager of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Manager of Jakarta International College (JIC).
Earlier, Acting Regional Secretary of Papua Province, Doren Wakerkwa, SH in Jayapura said the Papua Provincial Government is committed to build human resources in Papua. It was proven by the facilitation of Papuan children to study in various schools and universities in the country and abroad.
"The Provincial Government of Papua through the Special Autonomy Affirmation Scholarship Program, from 2009 to 2020 has sent 1051 students studying at various universities at home and abroad. And a thousand more graduates from various universities at home and abroad," said Doren.
"I represent the Governor and Deputy Governor to convey information on the implementation and achievements of the Papua Provincial Government in programs to improve the quality of human resources and character development for indigenous Papuans implemented by the Human Resources Development Agency of Papua province to the indigenous people. When summed up, then the total domestic and foreign graduates from the Papua Special Autonomy Scholarship Program is a total of 1051 people," said the Regional Secretary.
