A total of 59 functional officials who have the task of assisting the head of the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) in carrying out government affairs, were sworn in by the Deputy Governor of Papua Klemen Tinal, Thursday (3/4/2021), in Jayapura. 

Deputy Governor Tinal left a number of messages to the newly appointed officials to always maintain integrity, loyalty and commitment to the duties and responsibilities carried out. 

He also requested that the appointed functional officials immediately build synergy and harmonious cooperation, in order to spur the emergence of new thoughts and ideas in solving various problems and challenges.

"In principle this inauguration should be a trigger for performance improvement in carrying out the duties of service to the community.

"It can also move the wheels of government and carry out development that is a shared responsibility," he explained.

In particular, the Deputy Governor asked the newly appointed functional officials to support and succeed the implementation of National Sports Week XX 2021 in Papua.

"I remind you that all brothers have roles and responsibilities related to the preparation of infrastructure and technical implementation, so give full attention to the implementation of these activities including National Sports Week ".

"Therefore, the newly appointed is expected to immediately take steps or breakthroughs in order to quickly complete quite difficult and complex tasks by paying attention to the norms and applicable provisions," he concluded.

A total of 59 functional officials were appointed, consisting of 20 functional officials of municipal experts, 20 young expert functional officials, eight first expert functional officials, one advanced implementing functional officer and 11 implementing functional officials.
