Aviation Polytechnic is ready to cooperate with Papua Provincial Government

Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic (PPI), Curug, Tangerang, Banten, opens the opportunity for the Provincial Government of Papua to establish cooperation in the development of Human Resources (HR) in the field of aviation.

"Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic is ready to help the Papua Provincial Government to educate the best Papuan children in the field of aviation. We are ready to cooperate with Papua," said Acting Director of Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic Sukarwoto, ST, S.SiT, MM accompanied by Head of Aircraft Engineering Study Program Lilies Esthi Riyanti, S.SiT, M.T in his press statement, at Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic of Banten office.

Sukarwoto said Papua needs a considerable amount of Aviation Human Resources because it has less than 300 airports.

Therefore, Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic is ready to open special classes to educate Papuan children. "We are ready to open classes for Papua," he said.

He said the education program in Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic not only concentrates on pilots but also supported special studies in the field of aviation.  

"In addition to the education of aircraft and helicopter pilots, Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic is also ready to help the Papuan Government prepare indigenous Papuan human resources in the field of aviation such as ATC and aircraft and helicopter technicians and others. The point is we are ready to educate the best Papuan students,"Said Sukarwoto .

Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic, continued Sukarwoto, is an Approved Training Organization (ATO) under the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation and approved by the Directorate Of Airworthiness And Aircraft Operations.

"Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic of Curug is responsible for conducting professional education and training in the field of civil aviation".

There are 10 Study Programs namely Aviator DIV, Aircraft Engineering DIV, Air Navigation Engineering DIV, Airport Electrical Engineering DIV, Air Traffic DIV, Building and Runway Engineering DIII, Airport Mechanical Engineering DIII, Aeronautical Lighting DIII, Aviation Accident Relief DIII and Airport Operations DIII.

"Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic has very complete educational facilities. We have laboratories, simulators, English labs, hospitals and other supporting facilities," he said.

The former director of Jayapura Aviation Polytechnic added that Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic of Curug has collaborated with various national aviation companies to make it easier for graduates from polytechnic to work in various airlines.

"Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic also cooperates with various national airlines. So that students graduating from here can directly practice and work in various airlines," Sukarwoto added.
