Department of Education: Districts and Cities Have Shown Readiness for Face-to-Face Learning
The Department of Education, Library and Regional Archives of Papua Province believes that on average each district and city has been able to show readiness to implement a face-to-face learning system.
Nevertheless, no less important is the support of parents in conducting supervision outside the school.
"Because the rest is the role of parents on how to prevent their children from the spread of COVID-19," explained the Head of the Education, Library and Archives Department of Papua Province, Christian Sohilait in Jayapura, Monday.
According to him, in general, the face-to-face learning system in Papua is ready to be implemented. The readiness is seen from several aspects, one of which is the curriculum that becomes a guideline for high schools and vocational schools in implementing a face-to-face learning system.
"There are only high schools and vocational schools that design their own curriculum, but that doesn't matter".
“Kindergarten, elementary and junior high school guidelines have been prepared by the Ministry of Education, so just adjust the learning curriculum," he said.
Then, he added, aspects of school readiness consist of room arrangement (keep distance), availability of water to wash hands, availability of masks and others.
"On the other hand, environmental aspects also provide support for the implementation of face-to-face learning, such as the support of health centers or hospitals in backing up hand sanitizer and so on," he concluded.
