The government to date continues to strive to combat drug trafficking and abuse throughout the country.

On February 28, 2020, President Joko Widodo officially issued Presidential Decree No. 2 of 2020 on The National Action Plan on Prevention and Eradication Abuse and Illicit Circulation of Drugs (RAN P4GN).

On the basis of the legal product, the National Narcotics Agency of the Republic of Indonesia Papua Province, the Papua Provincial Government, Army/Police as well as related agencies held an advocacy of RAN P4GN in Jayapura, Monday.

The results of the meeting proposed the construction of an inpatient drug rehabilitation center for addicts.

"During this time, hospital treatment for the rehabilitation of drug addicts will be referred to South Sulawesi".

"And this proposal is quite urgent considering the increasing number of addicts and drug dealers in Papua, '' explained the Head of the Papua Communication and Informatics Department, Jeri A. Yudianto to the press in Jayapura, after the activity.

While in the implementation of advocacy RAN P4GN, Young Planners of Settama Planning Bureau of Central National Narcotics Agency, Mrs. Warda Rabbie, SE as a resource person explained the material and results of evaluation of the implementation of RAN P4GN activities, in national reporting.

To be aware, in succeeding RAN P4GN, the government embraces all elements and layers of society. Including businesses and the world of education, to jointly stay away from and combat drug abuse.

Several other activities that have been carried out, including socialization on various activities both internal and external in print media, electronic and social media.

In addition, drug use detection activities through urine tests to all employees as well as various other related activities, in order to save the nation from drug snares.
