Papua Forest Service Invites All Parties to Address Environmental Issues
The Forestry and Environment Office of Papua Province invites all parties in the region to comprehensively address environmental issues from upstream to downstream.
This was conveyed by the Head of the Forestry and Environment Department of Papua province, Jan Jap Ormuseray on Technical Guidance of Validation and Training for the Validation team and Experts in the Preparation of Strategic Environmental Studies (KLHS) in Papua province, Monday (5/7/2021)
"This environmental issue is a cross-border administrative, cross-sector, and a problem with all stakeholders. Therefore, it takes togetherness to overcome this problem," he explained.
Said Jan Ormuseray, to be able to restore the improved environmental condition as before, can only be done through a variety of positive activities in maintaining and caring for the environment.
Therefore, he considered the Technical Guidance is important for the relevant State Civil Apparatus (ASN), because it has a strategic role in encouraging the successful preparation and implementation of KLHS in efforts to address environmental problems.
Directorate of Environmental Impact Prevention and Regional Policy and Sector KLHK RI, Doctor Fatma Juwita appreciated the Papua Provincial Government, because it is more advanced than other provinces in eastern Indonesia.
"Papua in the last three years has several times held Technical Guidance activities for validation personnel drafting KLHS. This activity is certainly expected to improve the human resources of the KLHS preparation team in Papua," he explained.
