Papua Governor’s spokesman Muhammad Rifai Darus's confirmed the chain message on a number of platforms containing Lukas Enembe's meeting invitation with the community and students of Papua in Jabodetabek/Bandung was a hoax.

Thus, the relevant parties are encouraged not to heed the invitation, especially now that the Central Government has established a policy of Enforcing Restrictions on Emergency Community Activities (PPKM) since July 3, 2021.

It became impossible for Lukas Enembe to hold a meeting that invited many people.

"I stated that the message was a hoax or fake news".

"Therefore, all Papuans in Jabodetabek and Bandung (especially those who have received hoax messages) to follow and comply with the policies set by the government," Rifai said in a release received by the editor, Thursday (8/7/2021).

Currently, Riifai added, Governor Lukas Enembe is undergoing self-isolation after returning from treatment in Singapore, a few days ago.

He also urged all Papuans everywhere not to share the hoax message.
