The song Indonesia Raya in every activity of government and state agencies that was previously sung together by all invited guests, is now only played.
The appeal is now being disseminated to the district and municipal governments in Papua, through the course / training of protocol and host in Papua Year 2021, in Jayapura, Monday (12/7/2021).
In addition to not contrary to the Law, listening to the song Indonesia Raya on every official government activity in fact has been regulated in the legislation. However, the current policy by the reason is to minimize the transmission of coronavirus in Papua which is currently increasing significantly.
"Because by singing, we have the potential to transmit the COVID-19 virus through droplets or saliva splashes. So that every implementation of government agency activities is encouraged to only listen to the song, Indonesia Raya".
"And of course this aims to follow health protocols, and this change should be given understanding to all parties attending the event," explained Assistant General Secretary of Papua, Ridwan Rumasukun, on the sidelines of the activity.
The same was conveyed by Firmansya Rasyid, Head of The Ministry of Home Affairs, Event Sub-Coordinator. According to him, related to health protocols, the activities of the ministry in his institution now only listen to the national anthem of Indonesia Raya as well as Law 9 of 2010 on Protocol and Law 24 of 2009 on the Flag, Language, and National Emblem and National Anthem.
"In both laws it is stated that the national anthem is heard or sung. The important thing must be carried out in one official event in the government".
"Only now the appeal is being listened to so as to avoid transmission of the corona virus through droplets," he said.
Known, this two-day activity was opened by Assistant General Affairs Ridwan Rumasukun representing the Governor.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee Rina Soro ensured that the event was attended by provincial officials from 12 districts and cities.
"Consisting of a director and head of subsection as many as 35 people as well as some technical Regional Apparatus Working Unit that we invited with two colleagues," he said.
