Spokesman: Although Not Fit, Governor Enembe Wants to Lead the Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony
Spokesman for the Governor of Papua, Muhammad Rifai Darus, confirmed the condition of Governor Luka Enembe is still not fit while presiding over the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, at the Dok V, State Building, Jayapura, Tuesday (08/17/2021).
However, Lukas insisted that he wanted to directly lead the implementation of the Indonesian Independence Day ceremony, which was a proof of his love for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
"Before presiding over the 76th Independence Day ceremony, Governor Lukas Enembe was infused by medical personnel considering his condition which is still in the process of recovery after a long illness".
"Although still in a state of recovery, Governor Lukas Enembe insisted on leading the Indonesian Independence Day ceremony," Rifai said.
Governor Lukas Enembe, still according to Rifai, expressed his appreciation because the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia ceremony can be carried out properly and smoothly.
Lukas Enembe also gave his appreciation to the leaders of the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) who were all present at the ceremony at Jayapura state building.
"Because this independence is something important and sacred, it must be maintained with a good spirit to commemorate the services of heroes," he concluded.
Previously, the implementation of the 76th Independence Day ceremony in Papua was conducted with the implementation of strict health protocols and held on a limited basis, in the Parking Area of Dok V State Building, Jayapura.
Acting as Inspector of the 76th Independence Day Ceremony in the Papua Provincial Government is Governor Lukas Enembe. While Police Adjunct Senior Commissioner Victor Mackbon as Deputy Director of Special Crime Investigation Regional Police of Papua, as the ceremonial commander.
