Registration for journalists of Papua National Sports Week is extended
Registration Media for the National Sports Week (PON) XX Papua 2021 officially renewed.
The extension is as a joint decision letter (SKB) between Central Indonesia National Sports Committee, Indonesian Journalist Association Center and Grand Committee of National Sports Week, in Jakarta Wednesday (12/8/2020) evening.
During the renewal period, it is expected that all media can encourage accreditation for journalists who will report the National Sports Week in Papua.
"The registration time is postponed so it can accommodate more journalists who have been accredited".
"The point is, we do not want to complicate but we are pushing for journalists who are the leader of National Sports Week XX is verified by the press board and competent," said General Chairman Indonesia National Sports Committee Center Lt. Gen. (Purn) Marciano Norman in a meeting with the Chairman of Indonesian Journalist Association center of Atal S Depari and chairman of National Sports Week Committee XX/2021, Yunus Wonda.
General Chairman of Indonesian Journalist Association Center of Atal S Depari said the organization is ready to support Papua as the host of National Sports Week XX.
Thus, it is hoped that the journalists reporting National Sports Week XX are able to present the writings that give the spirit to athletes and the people of Papua and Indonesia.
"So I agree with the direction of General Chairman Indonesia National Sports Committee Center for verified Media and accredited journalists. The time can be used to carry out the competency test," said Atal.
Meanwhile, the daily chairman of the National Sports Week Committee Papua Yunus Wonda said, the entire accommodation, local consumption and transportation of journalists for National Sports Week will be borne by the General Committee of the Papua National Sports Week.
"Hence, we need preliminary data about the number of journalists coming to Papua. Good for those who will report the city of Jayapura, in Jayapura, Merauke and Mimika districts.
"We want to show Papua can implement the National Sports Week safely. Papua wants to show itself as the center of Indonesian Sports Unity and achievement. We want to make everyone who comes to Papua with a smile and return from Papua with a smile anyway," said Yunus Wonda.
Also present in the meeting was secretary general of Central Indonesia National Sports Committee TB Ade Lukman, Secretary General of Central Indonesian Journalist Association Mirza Zulhadi, deputy chairman of the Daily Committee of National Sports Week, Yusuf Yambe Yabdi, Chairman of Indonesian Journalist Association Center, Gungde Ariwangsa, public relations and PPM Committee of National Sports Week XX Kadkis A Matdoan and administrators of Papua Indonesian Journalist Association.
While the renewal decision and requirement of journalist registration of National Sports Week XX is:
I. Registration time is divided into two periods:
A. Entry by number: 17 August – 10 November 2020
B. Entry by name: 1 March – 1 September 2021
II. Registration used application of National Sports Week Committee XX Registration
III. Admission Requirements
1. The media company has verified the press board.
2. Include a letter of duty or certificate of appointment from the respective media,
3. Press Card
4. ID CARD
6. Photos
Both entry by number and entry by name have already mentioned the reporting place in Jayapura City, Jayapura Regency, Merauke Regency or Mimika regency.
