The daily chairman of National Sports Week Committee Papua, Yunus Wonda ensures the title of the song and the new lyrics will be known when the four-year-later event is held during the opening ceremony in the Papua Bangkit Stadium.

"Only the song writer and the Special Committee in the National Sports Week will be informed first. Then, the theme and opening song of National Sports Week will be known by the public during the opening ceremony of National Sports Week," explained Yunus to the Press, Wednesday (August 19, 2020), in Jayapura.

He said that the secret song of National Sports Week XX aims to surprise all citizens of Indonesia. Because it is not a surprise anymore, if the song has been sung before the four-year national event held.

"I think citizens should be patient, But for sure we want to make history with a different appearance for National Sports Week this time, starting from the song to the appearance of the opening ceremony and closing ceremony in general," he said. And 80% of indigenous Papuans will perform in the opening and closing of National Sports Week event 2021.

Because this is the special moment for Papuan people that the venue is in their homeland (Papua). So they (Young Papuan) must be featured in this event. 

“So, this National Sports Week not only describes Papuan culture but also promotes togetherness and solidarity with all the nations in the archipelago. The point is there will be collaboration between indigenous Papuan and non-Papuan” he said.
