The National Working Meeting of Indonesian National Sport Committee Center Agrees to Propose Revision of National Sports System Law

The first day of the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of central Indonesian National Sports Committee which was also attended by Minister Zainudin mali virtually in Jakarta, among others discussed the revision of the 2015 Law on the National Sports System (SKN).

The revision of the Law is expected to be a strong foundation for the construction of a sports base both locally and nationally.

"One of the things discussed in the National Working Meeting of Indonesian National Sports Committee was to encourage the revision of the National Sports System Law. The reason is because so far impressed the government did not prepare enough budget for sports coaching, especially in Indonesian National Sports Committee Central and areas"

"This law is encouraged to be revised so that sports have an important share in the community," the General Secretary of Indonesian National Sports Committee of Papua Kenius Kogoya told the press on Tuesday afternoon in Jayapura, after attending the Indonesian National Sports Committee virtually.

The most crucial thing from the revision of the National Sports System Law, which is to establish a portion of 2.5 percent of the budget in the province and district / city for sports coaching.

"But it is still a proposal then how we push through the Minister of Health through the revision of the Law," he explained.

While discussing the implementation of the National Sports Week XX in Papua 2021, Kenius said it emphasizes the preparation of all sports.

"This includes confirming that there are only 37 sport branches and there are no other additions for the National Sports Week XX. Indeed, there were other provinces who asked for 10 of 37 sports that had been determined to be played outside Papua, but we refused," he said.
