Five Regional Heads in Papua Receive Award from Minister of Religious Affairs
The award is given for their concern to conduct religious coaching in each region. The regional heads are Jayapura Mayor Benhur Tomi Mano, Yapen Islands Regent Tony Tesar, Tolikara Regent Usman Wanimbo, Jayapura Regent Matthew Awoitauw and Central Mamberamo Regent Ricky Ham Pagawak.
On that occasion, Minister Fachrul Razi no doubt praised the performance of the five regional heads of the award recipients who were so concerned with the religious field as a whole.
It hopes it can be replicated by other regional heads in Papua.
Meanwhile, the Head of regional office (Kakanwil) of the Ministry of Religion of Papua Province Rev. Proverb Yowei said the presence of the Minister of Religious Affairs in Papua, as one of the efforts to respond to the hope of being able to come face-to-face with religious and indigenous figures in Papua.
"Therefore, we appreciate the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia for showing concern for Papuans through current work visits that are assembled with a number of other activities," said Rev. Amsal Yowei.
Currently, the Ministry of Religious Affairs is in the midst of socializing the program "Kita Cinta Papua", through the submission of a document requesting the transfer of status and the state of religious educational institutions, continued to the handover of affirmation scholarship "Kita Cinta Papua" to Papuan indigenous children (OAP) students and the handover of religious institutions and religious education.
The Head of regional office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Papua also invited all its ranks in 29 Districts and Cities to give full support in the "Kita Cinta Papua" program.
