All OPDs Asked to Budget for Covid-19 Handling
Acting Secretary of Papua Doren Wakerkwa instructed all Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) to immediately draft the 2021 budget according to their respective needs.
He also hopes that all OPD will not forget to propose a budget for the prevention and treatment of Covid-19 for staff. This is aimed at preventing corona transmission in the Papua Provincial Government environment.
"Budgeting is such as procurement of hand sanitizer, masks, scabbards and prevention tools from Covid. Because we do not only focus on work but also must secure ourselves from Covid," explained Doren in Jayapura, Tuesday (6/10/2020).
While supporting the 2021 budget of each OPD, Doren ordered more priority on activities that support the provincial government in managing its finances.
Doren admitted to have received oral reports from OPD heads, where a number of civil servants in Papuan Government have been exposed to corona. Some have even recovered but some are still undergoing a self-quarantine process.
"Therefore, I ask the entire civil servants to discipline the health protocols to avoid exposure to the Covid-19 virus," he said.
Previously, the Governor of Papua instructed all OPD to immediately submit the General Policy of the Provisional Budget Priority Ceiling (KUA PPAS) 2021.
Once submitted, the budget ceiling will be submitted to the Papuan Parliament to be discussed with legislators and then ratified.
