Papua Provincial Government Cooperates with National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) to Hold ICT-Based Training
A total of 60 State Civil Apparatus of the Papua Provincial Government participated in the Education and Training of Archival Technical Based Information Technology (ICT) in 2021.
Regional Secretary of Papua Province, Dance Flassy, SE. M.Si accompanied by Deputy of National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia, Drs. Sumrahyadi, MIMS and Head of Human Resources Development Agency, Aryoko AF Rumaropen, SP. M.Eng, Tuesday afternoon (3/23/2021) at the Human Resources Development Agency of Papua Province, Kotaraja, Jayapura officially opened the training.
The Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, SIP. MH in his speech read by Regional Secretary Dance Flassy said the management of the archive is very important and urgent. Therefore, every Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) within the Papua Provincial Government is obliged to improve the quality of its Human Resources.
He stated that conventional management of archives has many drawbacks because it requires considerable storage space.
"Therefore, in order to realize good archive governance, it is necessary to implement modern archival management in accordance with the development of information technology today," said the Regional Secretary.
According to him, modern archival management is a process of governance of archives / documents that no longer use manual means, but it is done by applying information technology.
"To speed up the process of managing data into information, accessing fast and accurate information, and securing better document storage," he said.
Regional Secretary explained in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 43 of 2009 that one of the purposes of archival implementation is to ensure the creation of archives from activities carried out by state institutions, local governments, educational institutions, companies, political organizations, community organizations, and individuals.
Therefore, the Provincial Government of Papua through the Human Resources Development Agency in collaboration with the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) held an Information Technology-Based Archival Training, which aims to provide introduction, understanding and procedures for managing archives through correct electronic applications.
"We hope that through this training, participants are able to understand the National Archival Policy to understand the Integrated e-Archive Implementation Strategy (Srikandi), understand electronic and skilled records management instruments in the management of Electronic Dynamic Archives; and Fourth, skilled in the management of Srikandi Application, " said Regional Secretary, Flassy.
In the same place, Deputy of National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI), Drs. Sumrahyadi, MIMS appreciated the efforts of the Papua Provincial Government through the Human Resources Development Agency in improving human resources in the field of archival.
Admittedly, Papua is one of the local governments in Indonesia whose archival management has not been maximized. Therefore, Sumrahyadi hopes this training can improve the human resources of State Civil Apparatus of Papua in the management of archives / documents in Papua so that it is integrated with ’Srikandi’.
Sumrahyadi said in the modern era with the development of information and communication technology, the management of archives is no longer done manually. All document and archive data is managed electronically.
"Papua is one of the regions whose archive management has not been maximized. Therefore, we hope that in the future Papua can be more advanced in the management of documents and data. I ask the participants to follow this training well so that the knowledge obtained can be applied in the archival tasks in the place of duty," he asked.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Committee for Technical Training on Archival Based on Information Technology (ICT) year 2021, Emanuel Korey, S.Sos, M.Si in his report said the training was held in cooperation with the Papua Provincial Government with the National Archives Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI).
The training was held for 5 days from March 22-26, 2021, with 60 participants from each Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) within the Papua Provincial Government and divided into 2 Forces.
