Governor: Not yet appropriate to discuss about Vice Governor replacement at this time
Papua Governor Lukas Enembe considers it inappropriate if there is currently a debate about position for Vice Governor, the death of the late Klemen Tinal, May 21, 2021.
The governor, who is still in the process of treatment, asked that everything related to the process of filling the position of Vice Governor, can be discussed after the atmosphere of grief passed.
"The position of the Vice Governor of Papua is currently vacant after Klemen Tinal passed away, can be discussed after the atmosphere of grief passed after 40 days of his death," Governor Lukas's statement, through his spokesman, M. Rifai Darus, Monday (14/06/2021).
Lukas ensured that the issue of the position of the Vice Governor would be an urgent thing to encourage so that the implementation of government in Papua can run optimally.
Nevertheless, he expects all parties to be patient. Because it has become a work agenda for him to meet a coalition of political parties supporting Lukas Enembe-Klemen Tinal to discuss filling the position of the Vice Governor, after recovering from his treatment in Singapore.
Known, Klemen Tinal was declared dead after having a heart attack in Jakarta.
Although it has not been a month since he died, now a poll has begun to circulate to fill the position of the Vice Governor of Papua by social media WhatsApp. It displays the names of the figures, officials and even district leaders.
Not only that, a number of Papuans have also started to comment and submit suggestions about figures and personalities that are considered appropriate to be proposed to be Vice Governors.
