Education, Library and Regional Archives Department encourages parents to not allergic to Children Online Learning
Department of Education, Library and Regional Archives (DPPAD) invites parents to get used to the online learning process that is currently being encouraged by the school to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.
Secretary of the Education Department of Papua, Protasius Lobya admitted that there are shortcomings of the learning system.
Nevertheless, he hopes that parents are more concerned about the physical condition and improved immune system of children at home, rather than about potentially transmitting coronavirus.
This was conveyed by Protasius in Jayapura, Tuesday (6/29/2021) evening.
Still he said, the new school year 2021/2022 will take place simultaneously and start on July 12.
Meanwhile, the plan of face-to-face Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM) in Jayapura City, is still awaiting the decision of the local head, although most schools and teachers have expressed readiness.
"The bottom line is the mayor's decision to study online as well as face-to-face, I think it's all ready," he said.
Therefore, he urged all parties to obey the decision of the regional head related to teaching and learning activities. Because do not let the process of learning face-to-face become the entrance of corona transmission in Papua.
One of the teachers of SMK 3, Constantinus Oei, thinks differently. The face-to-face learning process must be implemented immediately because online learning cannot maximally correct the mistakes of students.
"The school already has a strategy for how face-to-face can run, at least 1 hour only. Indeed, the spread of covid-19 is still happening in Papua, but face-to-face is quite important to do," he said.
