Even 54 years old today, Papua Governor Lukas Enembe held a virtual thanksgiving service attended by Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) leaders and institutions in Papua.

Appearing alongside his wife, Yulce Enembe, Governor Lukas in his speech confirmed that he was a nationalist leader.

'I don't understand the parties that do not stop attacking and accuse me of being a leader who is not a nationalist. (Even though) Merah Putih (Indonesia) is still neatly sewn around my heart," he said.

Lukas ensured that he was the same as the 33 other provincial heads in Indonesia, which is an extension of the central government's hand in the region. So that doesn't mean he has authority without control.

"I still have the realization that a Governor must also respect the central elements led by President Joko Widodo".

"I also want to make it clear that the current conditions will continue to be settled and it is difficult to find an endpoint, if the central elements and regional elements do not build the trust," he said.

Finally, Lukas asked President Joko Widodo and his ranks to put trust in him and to the Papuan people, without any barriers and suspicious of each other in our midst.

"Because I am Lukas Enembe, the Governor of the Papua Province who has led the land of Papua since 2013 and is now serving the final term of my term as a leader in Papua. And will continue to serve and work to the maximum to bring Papua running towards Indonesia Gold 2045".

"So that when Indonesia has reached its golden age, we do not want to be left behind as an area with silver or bronze," he concluded.
