Governor Enembe Appreciates ICT Support for PON and PEPARNAS

JAYAPURA – Papua Governor Lukas Enembe appreciated the provision of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in supporting the multi-event implementation of National Sports Week (PON) XX and National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) XVI 2021.

This was illustrated from the visit of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe, while reviewing the National Sports Week XX and National Paralympic Week XVI Command Centers, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Krida Sasana Building, the Governor’s Office of Dok II Jayapura, Thursday (08/26/2021).

"Mr. Governor this afternoon gave appreciation for ICT support at multi-event National Sports Week XX and National Paralympic Week XVI. It will be the pride of the people in Papua," the Head of Communication and Informatics Department, Jeri Agus Yudianto, S.Kom, told reporters.

The Papua Provincial Government Command Center visited by Governor Enembe is the control room of application systems and technology infrastructure supporting large multi-event in Papua PON and PEPARNAS.
It consists of 42 Video Walls with 32 units of PC and uses the latest technology systems.

This Command Center room can present information related to game times or medals in each sports discipline and contingent rankings.
"Including score records and others. Then there are also support services such as transportation tracking, contingent accommodation locations, movement of committee / contingent who enter the access gate at each venue / non-venue and no less important is the access service that is prepared," he explained.

As for the main Media Center which is temporarily in the works, Jeri added, will be prepared for the committee and media crew in creating and managing news in real time.

"The facilities provided in the form of stages for press conferences, internet access service 1 GBps, TV monitors, PCs and other supporting facilities".
"While for some TV stations there will be several spots for mini studios that will be prepared independently by TV Stations that need it. And for sure the media crews who will enter the media center area are those who have been registered and accredited," he said. ***
